I don't care, for one.

not caring is one thing. kudos to you for being separated from the whole process.

but if you really want to make rteacher and his big blue hindu barbapapa look foolish -

kill it yourself.

if you're one of those loudmouth meat eaters who thinks they're somehow important and revolutionary because they make fun of vegetarians, go kill something with your own hands some time.

gut it, cart it home, cure it, and use its ugly parts for something useful rather than leaving it as carrion for coyotes and such.

then maybe you'll win some respect.

until then, you're as full of shit as the PETA/krishna veggie fruits you make fun of - and you need to stop typing/making sounds with your mouth.

I find many dishes can be improved with the addition of meat. For example, salad. Ever throw in some bacon? Whoa. Then rice. Why have just white rice when you can throw in some groud beef?

Koreans of course have taken this to a whole new level by adding meat to pastry:

And let's not forget adding spaghetti with a nice meat sauce to a sugar cone:

My 'decoding skills' are starting to slip. I was reading the little sign beneath the hotdogs....'cheese' 'sausage' and 'pay suh chu ree'. The last word had me stumped for a minute. The I clued in it was 'pastry'. Not a great transliteration, in my opinion. Not nearly as good as o-ren-jee ju-suh.

Does fishing count? I don't mind killing fish. I would be more than happy to go hunting. Being a city feller, don't get much call but then my sister's husband is a hunter and if he ever invited me along, well, blamo. I'd be happy to put a slug through a deer. Wouldn't think twice.

I'm just a loudmouth when confronted by loudmouth vegetarians.

i'm just sayin', you look like as big a tool when you get aggressive about meat eating as the more idiotic sects of vegetarians do. the majority of meat consumed by humans is bought in the store. most meat eaters don't have the balls to look an animal in the face and take its life.

by respect, i didn't mean rteacher and his ilk, because most of the stuff i've heard him say about vegetarianism is moronic krishna propaganda. others tend to spout moronic PETA propaganda.

i just would find it hard to respect myself if i could buy a steak at the store but didn't have the berries to go out and get it myself. show me 100 stalwart meat eaters and i'll show you 95 who would cry themselves to sleep after watching a meat-bearing animal get offed.

aggressive/defensive meat eaters are full of shit unless they can kill, gut and eat an animal the way it's supposed to be done. pure and simple, and their rants sound as stupid as some of the idiot veggies out there.

What's this thread - the frickin' "ILKs club"?

Moronic? - only in the sense that "more Ron" is better than "less Ron" ...

I think that most studies (not sponsored by slaughterhouse owners) have indicated that vegetarians (not vegans) tend to be more intelligent than meateaters.

Hmm, I think its time to revive my "Why So Many Great Thinkers Have Been Vegetarian" thread.

Here's the latest provocative entry:

More boring unoriginal crap from fishead soup and mindmetoo. Thread # 1,398 that says "I eat meat".

Nice one. Enthralling stuff. I think you can safely go back to playing with yourselves now, having convinced all and sundry that you're not in fact pathetic little dweebs sitting in your landlady's basements in your y-fronts but huge masculine carnivores that we are all compelled to admire (ahem....).

Yes, I think we all appreciate your remarkable bravery in killing something on the other end of a fishing line or from 100 metres away with a gun. Your Medal of Honor is in the mail.

If you don't care about the opinions of others why do you insist on posting re this exact same topic ad nauseum you complete lightweight?

I thought you had fled Korea never to darken its doorstep again, if so please spare us your drivel and start posting on the Thai or Cambodian equivalent of this site (or wherever else you have fled to in order to enjoy your avatar ladyboys ...)

Boy, you really can't follow a debate huh? I like meat. That's the sum total of it. Cheeseschlong suggested one should kill the things you eat if you want to trumpet your meat eating cred. I replied. I don't find it a compelling argument one way or another. I'm just stating facts.

Irony really works best when people like you don't get the joke. Go back to the start of the thread.

I'm glad to see your ESL career and maybe your non meat eating has brought you peace.

Next to me, most everyone looks like a lightweight (I now have to shop at the "Big Size" stores in Itaewon... Surprised )

It's understandable that many meateaters get annoyed by criticism from overzealous vegetarians/vegans, though.

It's one thing to convey or present information that may be beneficial for others - or for the whole planet (or universe) but it's another thing to insult or coerce people who may not be ready any time soon to give up such a deep-grained attachment, inculcated in most of us at a very early age.

By now, I think most meateaters - like tobacco smokers - pretty much understand that it's not such a good thing, but it can be a very tough habit to quit.

well, you shouldn't ciriticize the food until you try it. White Chocolate and wasabi may sound like a bad combo too, but hey, it works apparently. I think that they should try their food before selling it

Meat is a wonderful thing, made even better, if you personally killed the animal you are eating. Show me tofu that:

1: Looks like meat
2: Smells like meat
3: Tastes like meat
4: Feels like meat
5: Sounds like meat cooking (sizzle, sizzle, sizzle)

Do this, and I will change to a tofu diet.

I think the older koreans don't usually like western food. So..there is a good chance that pizza guy making the pizzas doesn't like pizza and won't eat it. A lot of older Koreans like to eat the exact same crap every single day and it is only the young koreans who actually try anything new.

Kimchi, Rice and Dwenjeong (SP?) --- every single freaking day...forever
