I found it at Zellers. Just the name has been brought back. I haven't seen any of the big box stores open. (I think in some ways Pop Shoppe was the original big box store.)

Cola, grape, pineapple, orange, and ginger-ale (you can call it that now when you're in Canada and not "cider").

Vernors is hard to find, I've noticed.

Are you sure that's not just surplus product from the 80's that they're trying to dump? Laughing

I have many fond memories of Ye Olde Pop Shoppe. I even had the jigsaw puzzle of the map of Canada with P.S. locations and goofy characters all over it. Think I sold it at a garage sale. D-OH!

I've pretty much given up on sodas, but man, what I wouldn't give for a case right now.

I was an assistant manager at a The Pop Shoppe store while in college.
I got a free case every week. Very Happy All legit. The benefits of management.

I loved going to Kelowna and Kamloops making deliveries on sunny saturdays, rocking with the tunes and the rocking cases in the back of the overloaded van. It was like living on the side of a volcano with the bad brakes on that thing. But I was young and it was a hoot!

Where I come from, any clear beverage is "ginger-ale".

I remember in the 1970s pop wasn't really a household staple. It was pretty expensive. You couldn't get a 2l for79 cents. So yeah, as a kid, a trip to the Pop Shoppe where pop was stacked to the rafters, whoa, that was like being in heaven.

No. We're not. I was born in Windsor but I have not lived my life there. I don't consider it "where I come from".
