I made a mistake trying to open the science lab anatomical model and the shoulder piece broke.

About an hour later, the message got to me that the science teacher said that I must pay 2 million won to replace the entire model.

I didn't come here with any kind of insurance.

I offered to pay to have it fixed, but the science said that they must a new one.

Help!!

There is no way in hell you have to pay that. If push comes to shove, walk away from this job.

Your offer to pay for a repair was adequate. If they try and withhold money from your salary for that, tell them that will "force you to leave" the job.

If I were you I would have a quiet and controlled talk with the principal about this BEFORE your next payday.

The science teacher isn't your boss. Deal with the right person.

No bones about it, go see the principal. You shouldn't have to shoulder this.

Who delivered the message?

Reply (through the message bearer) "No."

I don't understand why you would be mucking about with equipment that is not part of your job, but I think paying for repair is adequate.

You broke it.

you fix it.

If somebody at school broke your laptop what would you expect?

Pay up and stop whining like a bitch.

He has offered to fix it. What they are demanding now is a NEW one. It's like breaking your mouse and now you're demanding you buy him a new laptop. They keep both. Not exactly reasonable.

Offer again to pay to repair it. If they refuse, then you know they are trying to fleece you.

And you would trust them to tell you the correct cost of 'repair'?

Perhaps if he does have to pay, he should find a new job and leave that joint.
