So I lose things. You know it just happens and I lost the key to my apartment 2 days after I arrived here over a month ago. Thankfully It's electronic, so i have the code to go in and out. I've been procrastinating doing anything about it. I've heard to change the locks will cost like $200 and I'm finally getting my first paycheck tomorrow :dances in a very dorky way around the room:. Hmmm, so has anyone on here got experience with changing locks?

There are usually spare keys which I would expect to be with either your school or the owner ... I lost my key a few months ago ... and borrowed the spare key for a few minutes and went and got a new one cut - The cost was 2,000 won ...

Hmm, yeah, they only gave me the one, but I did get in pretty late. I don't mind not having the key because of the whole code thing. Hmm, I suppose I'll worry about it some other time. Procrastination, gotta love it.

It's good that you are keeping a positive attitude about this. I have lost plenty of things in my life. However, I keep a good attitude about these things, and I tend to not lose things anymore. I tend to also plan more and procrastinate less:) Congratulations on your first paycheck. My keys work, but my code isn't working. I don't know why my code doesn't work anymore. However, the key will do.

With the electronic locks, if you lose your key and change your code, the lost key will still work. That magnetic key thing will always work on that lock... even if you change the code 100 times.

If I were you, I would call the lock company and ask them if there is a way to make it so that lost key won't access your door. At the same time, ask them for a spare.
