I'd go to the labor board. Do all the paperwork and make things difficult for your boss, since he's obviously dishing it to you. He knows you're leaving and you're planning on it, but at least you can raise a stink about his school with immigration. He'll lie like a maddog if and when he's contacted by an immigration official, but I'm sure you won't be the first person he'll screw over, and if a pattern is detected, perhaps immigration will act.

So do you want to stay in Korea or not?

you are SO NOT GOING TO GET PAID.

I know you want to believe otherwise but IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

this jerk is hoping to keep the school going long enough to recruit new students, like the Mom's - no telling what he promised them!!

he's going to lie, and scream and throw tantrums, and cheat and lie and discredit EVERYONE who disagrees with him.

DOING HIM FAVORS IS ONLY SCREWING YOURSELF.

pack up your bags, get your stuff together, and plan it out. get a ticket and when the day comes, just call in sick - or better yet - go Wednesday or next weekend -

there is no professional way to deal with this because he's not a professional he's a tightwad, cheating jerk who could care less about you, the school, or anyone working there, he's only trying to protect his own butt.

GO, RUN, DON'T LOOK BACK....!!!

Tell Immi when you leave you've finished your contract - they won't question you! they'll stamp cancel and put it in the computer.

Shocked Shocked Shocked

you two are already receiving enough salary even though we have 25 students in this school.

Mack4289, please follow whatever we make the time schedule.

You follow our schedule and regulation then you get what you want. If you don't, you get nothing.

Now more arguments about holidays.

I won't listen anything from you guys.

So everybody take a public transportation to get here.

these are just some of his gems that would have made me walk out the door the second I got this BS of a letter...why don't you rewrite the letter, hand it back to him, and tell him what he can do with himself?

I have stopped working there and my ex co-workers tell me the boss seems relieved, probably because his native teacher expenses just dropped by about 40%.

There are several contradicting comments on here concerning the ARC card. Some people say hand it in and others say keep it. Is it really dangerous to not turn in your ARC card?

For your information, the name of the school is Gigamakin and it's in Dongtan/Hwaseong. The boss' name is Ed Ma.
