I thought boy this would seem like paradise to a Korean kid. A law to limit homework!

Well, I'm in talks with two friends but both would require relocation, one (eventually) to SoCal and one to the research park triangle (in GA, ASAP, get a TN visa, blah blah). I really really really don't want to move again. I want to plant myself in Toronto, get a condo, and then bring over my GF and get married and then die there.

Anyway, I won't have to get off the pot until I get up to Toronto. I'm kind of hoping I can find a job that won't require me to move down the road.

HA...another way of dumbening the educational system. Getting homework over vacations and long weekends sucked, but i did it and it didn't hurt my family life (divorce took care of that) or social life (i did tons of stuff with my friends). I really do wonder what educational boards are thinking.

School districts have banned the use of red in marking homework/tests in the US.

Schools districts in NZ are being told that texting spelling is acceptable in tests and homework (as in UR Cool lol).

And now schools are considering not giving homework during breaks.

We're raising a generation of wimps here! Ugh. Now, why do i want to go back to school and be an actual, certified teacher????

There had been talk of such nonsense for awhile. Makes me glad I'm out-and yes, 2 friends of mine got their teaching credentials in New Zealand, and the texteeey languageeey is permissible.

I do shove back, I do reclaim my spot in lines when hags try to take it, but there is no way such retardation of no homework would fly in Korea.

Toronto. Sparkling.

I loved to tell them about my nephew's typical day. Go to school. Come home at 3 pm. Play Xbox until 10 pm. Go to bed. Saturday and Sunday play Xbox all day and night.
