|
|
This has me pissed-off, but I'm not surprised. After all of the rules, anger, accusations, and rants about "pervert" foreigners coming here to work in Korea, it's perfectly ok to have this going on at a well-known hotel (Itaewon Hotel):
In case you can't read Korean, this is a business card seeking to get people to visit this club by using "middle school student," as if to imply that that men can get some middle-school aged tail there. "Booking" as it's called, is a Korean-style way of meeting in bars and, in many cases, going out and getting laid afterwards. It has a lot to do with how much money is paid, if you catch my drift.
I found this card next to many others right smack in front of the Itaewon police station. And do you think they'd bother doing anything about it?
Korea has one face they show to the world, but the true goings-on are hidden behind a cultural veil.
And as this advertising card is all in Korean, it's pretty hard to argue that it's not targeting Korean men.
End of rant.

you should pass this on to the cops. I'm sure the children of this industry would be mighty grateful. |

But they can do no wrong because they're better than us. I just started an after-school gig in a public school and I can hear that one class that sounds like they're chanting about their superiority. No wonder many foreign teachers get treated like they do by some students. I think we're just seen as being under them. Strangee.
But they can do stuff like this, I guess.... |

I found it sitting right in front of the Itaewon Police station!
I think I'd have more luck sending it to LMB himself. |

They aren't looking for Jung Hak Sang. The name is made up by the waiters...they usually choose funny names, famous stars names, etc. It's not a call or an advertisement looking for middle school students...
Did you even ask a Korean before you decided that the hotel/club manager or owners are pedos??

I'm sorry to say but you have totally got this all wrong.
Interface is a booking club in Itaewon. 중학생 is the name of the waiter at the booking club. They all choose funky names like 톰과재리 (Tom and Jerry) or 박찬호 (Chan Ho Park). It's not a prostitution service and it's not a matchmaking service for introducing old men to middle school students. |

He wouldn't care either unless it was already in the headlines.
Anyway, "joong haksaeng" is the name of one of the waiters who works in the booking club. Booking club waiters often have colourful names. I'm not sure if anything else on there indicates they cater to underage girls. |

It would've been hilarious to see Lee Myungbag busting up this booking club though, too bad. |

You guys aren't getting the implication here at all...
I know full well that is the waiter's name. They often pick singer names, too.
They are trying to hint that ajosshi can get young girls there. Why else pick that name?

Again, why imply anything to do with middle school students as a part of this ad?
Do you imagine that one would fly in the West?
You're not getting the off-color implication in this? |

Perhaps you should investigate. |
