| I play jazz bass and I've recently had a club owner looking for a foreign jazz band. Problem is, I need a good jazz guitarist or pianist and a drummer WITH AN F2, F4, OR F5 VISA to legally play jazz gigs. Anyone out there that can play jazz pretty well, please PM me. |

Whatever you do, DO NOT give any information about where you are in Korea!
That might make it easy for interested persons and you certainly wouldn't want that. Be totally vague with information. That way you can get replies from Andong, Suncheon, Jeju-do, Miryang, maybe even Dokdo.
What is it with all these calls for musicians/band members without saying where the hell you are?
Should we just assume you are in Seoul?
Guess so since many think that is the only place in Korea. |

| I'm STILL looking for a jazz guitarist or pianist and a jazz drummer to form a jazz group at the request of one of the major Seoul jazz club owners. The only problem is with the d#@n visa thing. Gotta have an F series visa to "legally" play in the clubs. I know. It sucks. It's ridiculous. Immigration and the policies of this country suck. It blows that you can't play for a few spare bucks without fear of getting deported, but getting deported DOES happen to E2 holders who play in jazz clubs in Korea(I think the Korean players sometimes drop the immigration bomb on them) I've seen it happen on MORE than one occasion. Sorry to seem uptight about this, but thats the way it's gotta' be here. Anyway, if you can PLAY and you're legal, either post a message or PM me here if you wanna' bop. Thanks everybody. |

And by the way, I'm in Seoul. The ONLY city in Korea that has more than 3 jazz clubs. As far as I know, there's only 1 in Busan. |
