Why is it, that it appears most of these dimwits here act like they never left their one-horse town.

Because most poeple who come to Korea just can't acclimate themselves to this culture. I was much the same my first year here. After you've been here a while stuff gets easier.
Korea is chock full of nut job newbies who can't deal with the day to day of expat life and then they come here on this forum and thrash it up like their still "in the hood" or watever dump place they came from.
As time goes by I frequent this board less and less as I have better things to do with my life - like living it in a much better fashion than most people here.
Teacher thugs are all over the board as far as reference points go but they tend to fall into general categories.

1. Everyone was a schocking success back home. Many left six figure incomes to come here and teach on orders from their 200 dollar an hour shrink or something. Apparently no one came here because their job situation sucked back home. And all have red hot careers lined up and waiting when they head back.

2. All have no trouble getting a new K woman into bed every night. If you don't measure up to those standards then you were a burger flipping loser who could only date fat, ugly chicks back home.

3. They are all the equivalent of Jean Claude van Damme (screen persona, not real life) Wesley Snipes, or Stephen Segal when it comes to toughness. Of course they have never really studied any martial arts in depth but apparently we Americans are just born like cats, with innate knowledge of combat skills that will render any other person's skills useless when applied. Also beer to them is like spinach was to Popeye and after a few Hite ot OB they can thrash themselves out of anything leaving pile of bodies in their wake irregardless of any loss of equilibrium due to the alcohaul.

So there you have it. I just igore them. Internet hotshots are a dime a dozen and considering the quality of teahers in general here, their "Dave's" persona is most likely the pinnacle of their achievement.

I'm none of the above.

I am either

a) A certified teacher back in Canada in Korea becasue he hated the profession as well as income tax rates that make you bend over and ask for another, who does alright with chicks but nowere near that basketball player who slept with 70 000 chicks

b) An astronaut and a rocket scientist who don't know how to use question marks when slamming other people

OP: You'll find one, someday, and when you do, it will be the most magical moment of your life. Until then, keep checking the WSM ads.
