|
|
Hello all. One of my coworkers has a persistent cough and has had it for over a month. It is so bad that his nickname is TB. I had a similar cough a little over a year ago. I went to the doctor and I additionally got a bottle of Robitussin cough syrup from the military base, which really seemed to help. My question is does anyone know if it possible to buy Robitussin in Seoul Pharmacies? If so, where? Also is there a Korean equivalent or Korean generic version?
Thanks for your help |

It might be difficult to acquire by pharmacy...but you can get it at any of the "import" markets. I got some in Itaewon last week. Believe me, Robitussin does the job. Very effective. It will cost you about 9,000 won...but well worth it when you are suffering from a chronic cold/cough. |

Where exactly are those import markets in Itewon? I have a brutal cough and something like that could only help. I get lost easily, so real specific directions please. |

Hook up with someone who works/lives on the military base or get signed in. Whatever type of western medicine you need is on post. Itaewon has a lot of base employees walking around on their free time. As for the local drug stores having it; slim and none on the "Robitussin." |

The black market thingy in Itaewon, or the one i go to, is turn, right at the geckos and BK intersection walk down on burger king side for about 2-3 minutes, it has no sign, and is next to the money changer, across from some antique shops the door and window are covered. They definately have it and lots of great other stuff, expensive but worth it. |

Yeah, Osangirl's directions are on the money...there are actually two small markets on that side of BK. I usually get mine at the second one. There aren't any signs...just make sure and look real hard. But yeah, they carry all kinds of medicine. Good luck. |
