Does anyone know how to get to Jeju island from Suncheon by car? I know there is some ferry that you can take to get there, and how much is it? Any information would be appreciated.

We went to Jeju by ferry in January this year. Our school director arranged it for us so we don't have the ferry terminal phone number or anything, but basically: we drove from Suncheon to Nokdong (about an hour and half away from Suncheon - on the peninsula just west of Yeosu), then it was a 4 hour ferry to Jeju from there. It was about W20 000 each one way in 3rd class (i.e. sitting on the floor) - which was fine on the way there when it wasn't crowded, but on the way back we took second class (chairs) - about W28000 a person one way - because 3rd class was PACKED with Soju-filled Koreans falling all over everyone..not fun! You can take your car on the ferry too - it's about W90 000 for one way - but we chose not too cos we only went for a short time. Instead, we were able to park our car at the ferry terminal for free. Oh, make sure you take sea sickness medication if you're prone to it, cos the seas can be really rough! Hope this info helps you!

As was said in the reply on Suncheon Crowd there's a bus to Nokdong, where you catch the ferry. Buses to Nokdong leave from Suncheon at 05:45, 06:35, 06:40, and 07:00.
