Hello,

I'm in Korea with internet and I want to configure my router to allow for faster downloads. To do this I need to access my Default Gateway IP Number in a web browser.

When I type in my IP address, which is 58.141.XXX.XX, I get a message reading, "Safari cant connect to the server."

Does anyone know why this may be and, if so, how I could get around the problem.

Thanks a lot.

check your router manual. your router should be configured to use one of three blocks of private ip addresses. i believe for Linksys routers, the default ip address is 192.168.1.1

after you connect to it and configure, you should be able to change it to any ip address that falls within the private block range.
