Hello Korean Forum,

How much fun can you have in a city like Busan or the Seoul on KW965,189 per month. This money would just be for leisure and the like including food, clubs, bars, shopping etc. In other words, I have already calculated and taken away money that I intend to save. The above figure would be what is left over! It's about 500/$1000 which would make me think that I can have a whale of a time!

I don't really eat that much western food, and I'm happy to drink in a variety of different bars. I can have expensive taste when it comes to clothes, but I don't go clothes shopping too often.

Your feedback would be great Smile

Cheers

Or don't eat for a week, sleep in a Jimjilbang every night, and....

GO to the red-light district. Laughing

Hahah... in all actuality, I live on 1 mill per month, so long as I don't make any big purchases or eat out much. My wife makes that a lot easier, though, as she cooks.

250,000 per week? Hmm...yeah, you should be able to have a nice time on that. I generally get by on about 120,000 per week, but I only really go out drinking on Friday nights.

I'm based in a small town but it's pretty easy to spunk cash fast once you get into the cities though. A few of the foreigner bars I've been to stop selling draft beer (much cheaper) and only sell bottles at the busier times, which if your drinking imported stuff can become costly, but all-in-all I'd say you'll do okay with that amount.
