|
|
My hagwon is in bad financial shape, and the boss informed me today that he simply can't afford me anymore. He will be giving me a letter of release and a good reference. I've been here for 4 1/2 months, and arrived before the new regulations.
I've already been offered another job at my friends hagwon.
Can I simply renew my visa with the new contract and the letter of release? Or will I have to get a background check?
thanks |

I was in the same situation. The hagwon I worked for folded and I switched to another. I was able to have my visa transferred from the first school to the new school without having to do much. It shouldn't be to much of a problem (I wasn't involved in any of the paper/leg-work for the visa transfer, so I can't give you any more details.) Hopefully somebody can be of more help. |

I think traveler81 did this before March 15. I am finding that new hagwons don't want you to transfer your E2, they want you to commit to a full year on a new E2 visa. |

You can transfer and extend to fulfill the full year. It's an extra 30,000 on top of the 60,000 for the transfer, but that's about it. |

I checked the Immigration website and it says you need required documents attached. Does this mean you need all the transcripts, crc, medical?
Thanks |
