This interactive map looks new to me. The lines are rearranged in a completely different layout. Its got new buttons at the bottom, too.

http://www.smrt.co.kr/Train/Subwaymap/Eng/Subwaymap.jsp. However, its time calculation function between subway stations isn't working.

http://211.54.2.50/eng/smt/lineMap/lineMap_index.jsp. This one works.

yes, it has definitely been changed.

Maybe they wanted to add in the new Gimpo-Incheon line. Also, they'll have to update it again in a few months when the new Line #9 opens up (scheduled for the end of the year i think?).

It looks like it's been redesigned to leave room for the new lines and extensions. This version has enough space to add Line 9, the AREX extension to Seoul Station, the Shin Bundang Line, both Bundang Line extensions, the southern Line 1 extension, and the other ones without major adjustments being needed. Kind of a shame I won't be here to use them... oh wait, no, it's not. Smile

Weird, I can't get either of the first map to get past "DATA LOADING", and can't get the second map to find YONGSAN Station.

Yup, the route calculation function is broken. Worked Friday, but not yesterday.

Oh, and if you want a rockin' good time, go to the Korean homepage and listen to the new Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit theme song. Laughing

It annoying as hell. First, there was no redirect from the old link. Hello, basic website design, people. Second, on my FF version, it squashes the whole screen to about an inch and a half wide on the left side. Third, obnoxious automatic music. Fourth, it doesn't work.

Idiots.

Those of us who use the subway need to know these things.

The interactive route map seems to be working this morning (Windows XP/Internet Explorer 6).

Where does this line 9 go exactly? I will be leaving by January. At least, that's the plan. I am glad they are expanding the lines. Hopefully, it will reduce congestion.

I can't believe it takes more than two hours to get from Anyang to Bundang on the subway. It only takes fifteen minutes by car.
