My employer has been deducting 70,000 won per pay check from my salary towards the pension. I phoned the pension office and they have record of my name but my employer has not deposited nor matched any of my contributions to date.....this has been 9 months now. After bringing this up with my director, she said that the hagwon will deposit all money at the end of the contract and pay the late-penelty fee.

Shall this be cause to worry? Or this normal? Not sure what I should do......

Thank you in advance

I would say this is cause to worry.

This is not normal. and this is illegal

I suggest you visit: www.efl-law.com Then go to the forum.

If there are fewer than 5 employees at your school, you don't have to pay into the pension plan at all.
