I was awaken by what I thought were gunshots about 4:40am this morning. They surely weren't the garden variety fireworks that you see around here and definitely not a car or bus backfiring. 4 distinct shots, 3 quick and one delayed.

This city is known for mafia activity so it could have been related.

Was I dreaming?

That's not the point.

Where are the guns coming from?

I heard loud drunken people on my usually quiet street on 2 occasions last night; the first being foreigners that camped out near my window at 1:30am and the next being Koreans that did the same at 4:30am. It sounded like gunshots both times to me Shocked .

As far as the "that's not the point" comment goes; it is relevant because you made the statement about K gangs (mafia) being common in your city. What is your point exactly?

Well, if you're wondering where the guns are coming from, a location would help give a few guesses.

Heck, if you're in Cincinnati, then probably yes, those were gun shots.

These days, who knows? They very well could have been gunshots. Tell us what city you are in.

If there is a rice field within a ten block radius of your apt., they could have been gun shots fired at birds.

At 4:40am in the morning? Sounds like Klogic to me.

My area outside of Kyonggi-do is presumed to have a flourish of K-gangster activity but probably not so much these days.

If you guys can guess I'll give you a sticker.

Due to anonimity, however, I won't tell the exact location.

Sure it wasn't a cap gun or starter gun? Some fake guns can very real.

Someone probably used it to scare the piss out of someone. If I were a gangster in Korea, i'd have a fake cap gun and pretend to load a few rounds into a terrified victim just to see their reaction.

Then again, i'm not a Korean gangster.

It was probably a (or more than one of a) transformer blowing up.

I'm in a pretty much urbanized, central area. Perhaps there was a break-in happening and the thief was scared off.

Sorry about that. Some punks were giving me problems, so Nate Dawg and me had to "regulate".
