South Korea is a one-world country.
They take what they want and need from the rest of the world and that is that.
They couldn't give a toss where so many of their food outlets originated from, where their clothes and shoes are derived from, nor the music and movies they secretly worship. They take what they want and make it theirs with no recognition whatsoever.
So they worked hard to build their country up from the rubble. So did a number of countries also. They however, are not blinded by the fact that competition, interaction and inclusion with other nations is healthy for growth and development.
Look at the way Koreans prance around overseas like they are the
%$^&. If you cannot see the evident superiority complex then um well.
Sure, national pride is one thing, but an unhealthy dose of this is extremely potent and dangerous as we read about in world news every now and then, a Korean or 2 always overstep the mark.
But a Korean is safe in Korea. They can act the $%#$ with other people acting the $%^$# all in one %$^# pot.
Korean people and Korea needs saving. That is obvious.
Thankfully we have so many excellent English teachers sacrificing themselves in this sprawling mess helping a small % of Korean students a chance to escape overseas but maybe that's where the problems begin. |

OK I'm going to ask the blindingly obvious question that i'm sure a thousand people have asked previously on this site when faced with similar postings.....why did you move to a country that you hate? |

Please spell out how you would do this. (Please don't display the arrogance you complain about while doing so. It wouldn't be couth.) |

nah,not danny kim80/jad
style all wrong.
weird stuff tho...like hyper contexual realism in a surrealist envelope.
mm..also it has an ironic sophistication in its humour that any known gyopo lacks or korean could pull /even know exists.
my moneys on a smacked out kev or a satirical englishman being self mocking.
good ole capt korea is on to it,so we can sleep safe tonight in our beds with our korean partners, and dream of kimchee free steak dinners under blue skies.

Why don't you accept the world as it is. Have you seen the problems that exist in the US and Canada and Britain? In the US you had some woman attached to her toilet city, so many millions are neglected in the cities, in Canada violence is increasing in Toronto and Halifax, and England there is a crisis with alcohol and violence and for many years football hooligans were creating havoc in Europe.
You act like you are the savior of Korean children. You acted like they are some wretched, poor souls. You don't really know their lives, you haven't lived their lives. You are judging based on incomplete knowledge. You are not a Korean; nor am I. I like the idea of "Judge not lest thee be judged", though I sometimes judge as well. All the above is needless mind activity. Misery loves company. Many of us like to complain from time to time, and somethings need to be changed in many places.
Korea is more used to the idea of an us versus them as you pointed out.
That was more true of the US and Canada until more and more immigrants came and you found that the neighbours could be part of the us and the circle of us expanded.
I am trying to be superfriendly to Koreans, to show a more broad-minded attitude. I may have not learned a ton of Korean, but I am trying.
I am certainly not the saviour of Korean children. Let me save myself before thinking that.
Ponder that one, my good man. Koreans for a long time didn't have much to proud of, and they have accomplished a lot. Yes, some of them have a superiority complex, but this is true of many so-called advanced countries. |
