| My elementary shcools all use the 'Elementary School English' series by Kumsung with Zeeto, Minsu and the rest. I have noticed that sometimes it it will crash after showing the small splash screen and then even if I reset the PC it won't work again. What causes this and how can I fix it if happens? It's really annoying to have a lesson planned and then not be able to use the Look and Listen on the CD. |

| i know what you mean,mate. i tried to get the 'technician' to fix it but no joy. just in case it happens, i always make a note of the text before class or get the korean teachers to check on their teaching website for the target language etc. its all there its just getting the co-teachers to get it for you thats the bother. good luck!! |

There are a few possible reasons and fixes:
Do a hard boot (power off, wait 10 secs, power on) instead of a warm boot (which doesn't always reset the hardware).
The CD is scratched. Get a new one.
The CD drive is dirty / ready to die. 20k gets you a new one.
It is a windows issue. A clean install of windows will also fix the problem.

| This might not be a huge help but I have the English language language version of the 5th and 6th grade teachers guide, but it's in .hwp format. It'll spell out all of the target vocab for you, probably do in a pinch. PM me if you'd like these files. |

I've taught twice without the CDs and was able to pick up the key expression from the lesson. I read the dialog to the kids and picked out the targeted vocab.
Also, each school year the teachers get a bunch of CDs...I mean A BUNCH. I think I saw at least 15 CD's (4th grade) in the classroom. It could be that cd, try using another one. I have at least 4 copies of each cd.
If the cds don't work, go to tnara.com. It's all in Korean but ask your ct to show you how to navigate. The look & listen, songs, etc everythings on there..according to grades and lesson too. You have to use the Korean teachers' login id and psw. you shouldn't have a problem getting those. The korean teachers always tell me to use tnara but I'm more comfortable with the cds. |

Thanks, I had a look around tnara and it's awesome. It seems to be better than the CD. Is there any way to download the content in case the schools internet isn't working that lesson? |

There is a website to download and install the contents of the cds onto the computer. That's what's done at my school. I'll try to find out the address and post it soon. Or you could ask someone at your school. They might know about it.
Ok. Read the other posts. Maybe the website is tnara. |

Great. Can you show me how to navigate it now? LOL. My old ct left and I forgot. My new ct & I don't speak. He doesn't speak any English & feels embarrassed that he can't have a convo with me so I really don't want to ask him.
Yes, there are ways to dl the media as a separate file. I don't know how but i've seen some of it floating around online. I'm not good with comps so I dont know how to do it. |

You can go buy a copied version of Hangul 2004/5/7 from the tunnel guy in Yongsan for 10-15,000. |

The Hansoft Reader lets you open and READ .hwp files just like acrobat reader lets you open and read .pdf files. You still have to install it on your computer.
You can ask your school for a copy of Hangul (2004/2005) for your home computer and you can install it if you prefer that to just having a reader. Then you can write to a .hwp file as well as read it.

It's really simple.
1. Go to www.tnara.net
2. Log In on the left hand side.
3. Click
4. Select grade
5. Select English
