Dull baking question - but would cake flour that you see in all the marts here do as a substitute for self-raising flour? I assume Hannam/Costco etc sell self-raising flour but I'm lazy.
Thanks! |

My girlfriend, who likes cooking, and two Korean teachers I worked with, seemed not familiar with self raising flour.
I bought plain flour and baking powder.

You could make a huge batch of self-raising flour and store it in a sealed container. Then you will have it ready to use anytime you need it. I know that you want the already made product but I haven't seen it in Korea yet.
Here's a recipe:

I'm not totally sure, but I buy different kinds of flour in Homeplus. I just look at the pics on the bag. I have bought flour for bread, cookies, cakes, and dumplings. I assume they are different. Seems like it. I have seen the same flour in our little corner store as well. |
