Man, last night I went to an apartment party at the Oakwood Premiere residence high rise near Seven Luck Casino, and damn, his place was sweet! 2 bedroom apartment with great view of the city, daily maid service...dude was living in the lap of luxury. He's here short term and his company pays for his housing, but how much would a place like that cost per month?

I almost got an erection reading about the size of the Penthouse, and even more when I imagined how great a private rooftop garden would be:
Quote:
Our greatest pride, the penthouse with its size of 130 pyong of premium guest room has been especially designed by one of the worlds most renowned interior company Nadel Architects Inc. Located on the top floor of 27th floor, it has its own private garden.

Classical and European in style, the master bedroom for our guest of honor has a beautiful night scenery of Seoul along with an open view of the Han River, and is connected to the luxurious bathroom and dress room. Guests can also feel the warm sunlight in the morning and the freshness of the flowers and trees in the private garden.

Designed in deluxe marbles, the living room is consisted of a chimney that gives off comfortable and cozy ambience, and a 65 full size TV, a DVD HI-FI system that presents the finest sound quality, refined and archaic furniture and decorations, latest model of automatic curtain system and light system.

Furthermore, the superb kitchen and dining room which includes a built-in wine refrigerator is a suitable spot for social gatherings and parties.

Particularly, the private garden is the only kind in Seoul that will offer you the beauty of the nature and spacious resting area for Bar-B-Q parties with friends and family in your very own residence.

Cost to live in Oakwood? I don't know, but I think it's one of those situations where if you have to ask, you can't afford it...

Hmmm,

The penthouse pictures appear to have a chess board in one of them.

Since they don't play chess in Korea to my knowledge (unforunately) I wonder if that means their main target clientele are only foreigners.

Was that the case when you were there the other night? Or were there are a lot of Koreans as well?

Just curious.

If anyone can find out a price for a studio or 1-bedroom I'd love to know. Is it in a good location?

It's a serviced residence and yes, the target clientele is foreigners.

It wouldn't really make sense for a resident to live there since you could get some place comparable for a much cheaper price. Serviced residences in general come furnished and ready to live on day one. This makes it easy for business people to stay at in the event they're here for 6 months or a year. No worries about furniture and things like that.

Oakwood is located at COEX. I'm not sure about Oakwood but you could probably get a studio at the Human Starville for less than $2,000 a month.
