Hello all. I shall get straight to the point. I was walking back home with the missus and we saw a convertable red Porsche driving towards us. We both looked and it was a lovely car. The only thing, it was being driven by a foreigner. We both didn't expect that. Does anyone know of a foreigner in Korea, in the Sunae-dong area, who is an owner of such a lovely car? Just a pleasant surprise really. Hopefully one day I can be the owner of a nice sports car.

Probably someone in the US military or government who had the car shipped to Korea for free by the US government as a job perk.

Last summer, I was leaving an internet cafe around 4 a.m. As I was walking down the stairs to the door, I noticed a car was parked in the road, even with the door, with its engine running. I walked out of the door and it was a black dude in a Lexus. That was the last thing I expected to see in the middle of nowhere in Seoul at 4 a.m.

You guys check the plates on these cars? Very often these guys are driving embassy cars. Most of the nice cars that I've seen foreigners drive were embassy cars. The Korean on embassy cars have 준외 or 외교 on their plates.

Well, ever stop to think there are just a few multinational corporations here with foreign CEO's, executives, and their families?

It had Korean plates. Imagine a foreigner in Korea driving Porsche. It was incredibly strange seeing some foreigner in Bundang (Sunae-dong) driving a sports car. I guess there are some bloody rich people living in Korea. I we both exchanged glances for a few seconds. I look at the driver, he looked at me and then I crossed the road. Strange, strange, strange.

When you're making $5-10000 or more a month, tax-free, and have your apartment paid for, dropping a grand a month for a leased porsche ain't nothin.

I saw a Korean girl wearing braided horse hair and she smelled like baby powder. I thought that was weird.

It looked like a red Convertable Boxster and there was something hanging out the driver's window which looked briefly looked like a dog or a very hairy women. In Sunae-dong opposite my house (Royal Palace Housevill). I didn't see the plate that well but it was a Korean plate.
