Anyone know which would be the best police station in Daegu to get fingerprints sent home for a criminal record check?

I've heard stories where other wegukin have nearly been put in Jail due to the lack of communication skills, of course we are all now seen as criminals. Bs double standards I say. Why don't they tear into the shady hagwon owners as well!?!?

Good question. Who has gotten fingerprinted in Korea for a home-country CBC and where did you get it done.
My local police station says they don't do fingerprinting.

Sorry, Dutch. Didn't mean to hijack your thread. I'm not far outside Dague myself, so I'll second your Original Post. Where can someone get fingerprinted in Daegu?

Go to the main station for the "GU" in which you live.
If you live in Suseong Gu, the Main station is just East of Beomeo Intersection.... next to Suseong Gu Government Office.

Police box is 'pa-chool-so', not patchesayo.
'Cheong' means 'main office'.

So, anyway, you are in Seo-Gu. You'l want 'Seo-Gu Kyung-Chal Cheong'

For the downtown office: 'Joong-Gu Kyung-Chal Cheong'.

Hey Cresent, thanks you've been very helpful so far just wondering if have you actually gone to that office and had the CBC done. I had my gf who is Korean call the office in Suseong Gu and they said they don't have a system in place to that and that they don't understand why i would need it anyway! Obviously there is a lack of communication between the Korean government and the police. Typical bureaucracy.

I had to explain the new E2 visa regs to my co-teacher. She called the local police station and was told no, sorry, they don't don't fingerprint foreigners.

I was just told by my co-teacher to download the fingerprint form from the FBI website, take my own fingerprints and send them to the FBI.
I can't imagine them being accepted. How would they even know they are my prints?
Has anyone tried this?

Korea. Rolling Eyes

I had to go to Suseong Gu Main police office to get a criminal background check for my history IN Korea, so I didn't need need fingerprints for that.

For your home country CBC, I can only refer to coworkers who have gotten their fingerprints done at a small police box near our school. They did it in minutes at no charge.

What country are you from, OP? If you are from Canada, a local police check is sufficient and does not require prints.
Two coworkers of mine have already gone that route.
Check to see if fingerprints are required by your home country.

As I said, if you're Canadian, you can submit to a local check which doesn't require prints. Either that, or go to the police box at Beomeo Intersection, between the Grand Hotel and the subway station.
Or go to Dubai (with your masters degree i hope).
