My OEM XP got invalidated when I changed Mobos.

I used this hack from pirate bay to get around activation:

I had 3 days left on my activation when I hacked, and that is 5 days ago. So far everything works beautifully. But one problem occurred to me. If it thinks I am in safe mode already, how will I actually access safe mode if I want it?

Turns out, I can't seem to get into safe mode via hitting F8. My hypothesis might be right. Are there other ways to try to focre true safe mode? Would they work? Do I really need safe mode? Is it okay to update my GPU drivers in regular mode if I have to? Should I still try to use driver cleaner?

Reboot. While its booting, while you get the Windows XP logo, hit the reset button. After it reboots, it should bring up the menu for how you want Windows to boot.

Why didn't you just use the serial changer and re-validate the tried and true way?

Best hack in town for product activation. Look at the read me for what versions it works on. Safe mode works fine. Turn off your antivirus. My Norton antivirus automatically deletes hack tools (guess who they are in bed with).

I don't know the "tried and true" way. What is the serial changer?
