I am currently working with Eastgate recruiting to find a public school job in Seoul. However, they are not listed as one of the recruiters on the ETIS website. How will they be able to find me a job in Seoul if they are not listed on the ETIS website as a recruiter to contact if looking for a job with SMOE?? Does this mean that they are contacting the schools directly. Would this be some kind of red flag? |

They may be 'selling' your application on to a SMOE recruiter who is an authorized agent. Last time I looked the recruiters list on SMOE it was out of date - it was the 2007 and 2008 March list and .Contact SMOE directly and ask who they are. Then ask Eastgate who they are finding teachers for?

To be safe, stop contacting the recruiter you are using if you are only going after a SMOE job. You want to use on of SMOE's official recruiters. Either the recruiter is lying to you or "selling you off" to an official recruiter. Either way, your best interest is to deal with an approved recruiter directly.
Now if you are willing to apply to other jobs, you can use multiple recruiters, but as SMOE's resent (and verbal) announcement, don't use more than one recruiter to apply for a SMOE position. |
