The grass is always greener on the other side.......until you get there.
Whenever I have bad days in Korea, thinking about how shite the UK is cheers me up.
Just get out there. Try somewhere different. Vietnam was good for me.

Rusty,
I think you should get back out there! I was annoyed when I had to come back to the north west but after the Russian school I was going to work for gave me a contract that wasn't fit to wipe my arse on. I have come to he realization that Asia is where its at for teaching English!
I think you come with me to PS in Seoul mate.. none of this hagwon shit! I think we will have a better time of it! |

I do the same thing, except think of the US. Then I get even happier! |

I preferred my college days in Montreal. Korea is all right, but I like Montreal better. Granted, this sometimes feels like college all over again, and sometimes it's easier to meet people and make friends. |

Must be pretty bad if you think teaching English is better than finding a real job w/ a future back home. Are you unemployable? Anyhow, you will become so if you stay in Asia teaching English for too long.

Montreal kicks butt. I have been there 5 times on business trips and not once were we thinking of what to do now.
BTW, Congrats on the Canadiens making into the second round. |

thanks!
Montreal is also my home, i dearly miss it.
on the other hand, Montreal will seem so small after Seoul, it makes me nervous i'll get depressed. |

Don't get me started. Gorgeous women, laid-back attitudes and a nice looking city to boot. I didn't catch a hint of the supposed "French-Canadian" rudeness or anything like that. At this point I may go dual-citizenship so I can live in Montreal full-time. |
