Hi guys.
Last week I bought a Skype phone, which connects directly to the internet. It's great because now I don't need the computer to be on to use Skype. However, I'm not sure how to 'split' my internet connection between this phone and my pc.

Today I went on a hunch and bought a router. It says 'Wired & Wireless Internet (IP) Sharing (IEEE 802.11 b + g), and is made by Cosy. It also says, 무선 최대속도 54Mbps (현재 평균적 인터넷 손도는 3Mbps 정도임) Does this mean the max speed through thsi router is 54Mbps?

I don't need the wireless part, but it was cheaper than the other models.
(I paid $12, apparently reduced from around $60 in Lotte Mart)

It has one socket labeled WAN, and another four sockets labeled 1-4.

Needless to say, there is a whole load of Korean on the packaging, so before I rip it open, I just wanted to check with the gurus here that it was okay.

Seems like I got a pretty good deal! (if it's the right thing!) Smile

Thanks for the reassurance squirrel!

I got the RTX Dualphone 3088, from expansys.co.kr.

The sound quality is great, but seems a little quiet. The ring tones are pretty lame too, but it looks very nice. It cost 115,000, FedExed from Hong Kong. I can't remember if that included postage and packaging - probably not.

Did you order using the Korean site or the HK site? Was it in English?

Actually my friend ordered it for me from the Korean site. She had some problems because they wouldn't accept a Korean bank card. I think for payment she may have been redirected to their international site.

Everything was English, even the plugs, which meant I had to nip down the hardware store to get a couple of adapters.

The thing that worries me slightly is that there is no option to pick Korea as the choice of landline country, so I went for the default UK. I am pretty sure it's not gonna somehow reroute all my landline calls through to the UK - it could get expensive if it does! Not that I'll be using the landline much.

I had my eye on this phone over a year ago, so it's a fairly old model. Thought about waiting a little bit to see if a new model came out (one that supported Skype Chat would be nice), but I grew impatient.

I also got a SkypeIn number which is very handy.
