|
|
A friend of mine is looking for a happily married couple (Korean husband/wife + Foreign husband or wife) for a program they are doing. I am not married and I am not particularly keen about going on tv.
I thought some people here might be interested in this. They would prefer a couple where the foreign partner has a functional level of Korean.
If you're interested send me a pm.

shuck that fit, the self same SBS who revel in making docos about how seedy and depraved the average ESL teacher is? The same Korean media who can't put a weyguk in front of a camera without shoe-horning him/her into a hanbok or asking the same inane questions about kimchi/chopsticks/spicy food? I would rather eat my own face than participate in such nonsense. Buyer beware! |

I'm not selling anything, just trying to help out a friend.
If you have no interest move along. No skin off my nose. |

I"m happily married to a Korean but will never go on any of those shows. Tell them to shove their camera's where the sun don't shine. |

I'm happily married, and the only way I'd do it is if the show were live! Then I'd tell them to stop pushing and shoving! Yeah! |

I think it is a live broadcast, thats why they need someone with a knowledge of Korean. |

I highly doubt they would do that, just think of the possibilities. |

I just spoke to my friend and it sounds like a pretty good deal that SBS is offering. They will sponsor a trip for your parents to come over to Korea (expenses paid) and they will also send a reporter to your home country to interview your family and friends. They will do a special on one of the variety shows that SBS produces and host a family meeting on the program.
Might be a good way to get your family over to see Korea. They would really like it if the non Korean partner could speak passable Korean.
Again if anyone is interested send me a pm. |

yeah..weeks of research etc,before broadcast..
that will weed out any spontaneity, anti-k or accurate-k reportage.
There will be VT inserts of your british/amercan/canadian father saying how much he likes korean food, and what a beautiful place Seoul is to visit,ad nauseum, blah, etc.
mum in a hanbok in and how polite koreans have been to her.
please visit seoul..blah blah blah
circus monkey stuff.
my k wife would probably machine gun the adjoshis at SBS for former crimes against truth, if i didnt restain her.
so ill have to pass.
anyone who does this..be very careful..its a faustian pact |

Someone should do it, then once SBS has made the commitment, give an honest take on Korea. And if asked stupid questions, roll your eyes say, "next question". I'd pay to watch a wise arse person on that, although the brit who was recently on was sort of like that. He didn't seem to give two shittts what the korean audience thought of him. I rather liked him. |
