What subway line and exit number takes you there?

They have free maps there supposedly.

Here is the address but it doesn't say what the subway exit or station is?

40, Cheongyecheonno
Seoul, 11 Korea, South
+82 2 729 9497

I am basically trying to find a tourist information center that sells or gives free maps of Yeongdeungpo and other areas of Seoul. I tried asking the secretary of the school but her English is worse than my Korean.

Thanks

Oh and if there are detailed maps on the Internet or a site you would recommend that is great too.

Korean tourist offices at:
Insadong (north end) (anguk station)
Itaewon (subway station)
Cheongyecheon (1 block east of the start of the stream)
Seoul city hall
Myeongdong
Namdaemun market

among many....

and you can get information by phone simply by calling 02-1330.

The place you refer to is located along the Cheonggye-cheon Stream - you can get there from Jonggak Station, exit 5. Walk to the stream, turn right and it's on your left in the basement level of an office block
