Hmm...not sure about the save, but my guess would be good old fireball.

Yeah. Fair enough. Who's to say what game a person should or shouldn't play.

Can it be compared to chess? Does a game of Starcraft have million of permutations? How to win most computer games (I don't play strategy games so I really don't know) can be worked out and then just repeated.

Who are consoles made by? The Japanese. That's why console gaming never got popular in Korea. Starcraft 2 won't be as popular as most people think. I asked my students if they were excited for it, they weren't. They're still going to be playing Starcraft 1.

No they won't. Blizzard has said it will shut down the Starcraft servers soon after Starcraft 2 is launched. If Korea is going to continue playing Starcraft, they'll have to create and maintain their own servers, apart from Blizzard.

To be fair....Starcraft is one of the greatest video games ever made. It is on every major gaming magazines top 100 games of all time...usually in either the top 10 or top 20 spot. I personally am not a huge fan of RTS games...I play them occasionally and even played some Starcraft some years back. I am not knocking Starcraft...it truly is a great game. My problem is that and a handful of other games that people have mentioned are the ONLY games that Koreans play. Just like with everyone else...they follow a herd mentality.

Just wait for Starcraft 2 this fall. I'd like to see what the Korean fans are like on release day.

Starcraft isn't turn based. It has a theoretically infinite number of paths.

Gimme a break, that applies to near everywhere, on my college campus Halo, sport games, and Smash brothers was played religiously. Plus since many play in PC bangs, they're limited to whatever the owner puts on the pc.

Hell, the PC itself is quite a limited platform genre-wise....pretty much every major release in the past few years were either: FPS, MMORPG, and RTS. If all your friends are playing Lineage 2, are you really gonna buck the trend and leave them to play WOW alone?

I wouldn't....

Crap! I guess that means no bad-ass jetski in Contra 4, either. ㅜㅜ

I totally get the OP about the few PC games-or-nothing mentality with the K-folk. What I don't get is the contempt a lot of em seem to show for console games. Once in a while if I bring up xbox 360 in a games conversation I'll get a smirk or "psssht" or scoff-type reaction, like I just said I enjoy playing with Barbies or something. Now if it's someone who thinks games are childish in general, fine whatever, but it's usually the biggest PC game nerds who do this. WTF? A lot of console games, especially with being online now, are just as sophisticated as most PC games, no? At least moreso than pap like Kart Rider, Sudden Attack, and that lame-ass street basketball game I always hear in the PC rooms.

(4 more days til GTA 4, bitches.)
