I would not say something like that, and indeed I would not approve of someone else calling you "a douchebag," either, Nowhere Man.

Indeed. You've made an excellent point. Should we or should we not call one another "major douches"? If this mitigates things, I'd like to know.

Incidentally, I'm not sure why you're answering questions I posed to the Mods.

Actually, just one more thing. A multiple-choice question:
Which of the below is true?
(a) Gopher does not know the difference between "hear" and "here"; and "two" and "to."
(b) Gopher enjoys making Nowhere Man write "sic" when he quotes him.

If cleaning up this sewer means I have to censor my disdain for Michael Moore, I'm not interested in it.
If you look at the context of my quote, it was actually concilliatory and meant to reach a compromise with Mithridates. I was agreeing with his statement and offering a manner in which he might agree with mine. Furthermore, I didn't insult anyone on the board directly. Lastly, I did not report what Bacasper said, although it should be relevant that he was goading me into a discussion I did not want to enter (semi-trolling at the very least).
But, Mods have to make a call. And Enrico's call was that Bacasper's remark was over the line. My comment at the very least straddled the line. I do attempt to comply with the mods' instructions if only because this is a private chat site which they have every right to monitor. |

This is tedious.
Bacasper called a user on this forum a douchebag, and I called a public figure a douche. I wouldn't say either is exactly kosher, but there's a relevant difference. That's the line. Crying about mod enforcement, while not my cup of tea, is fine.

Moore is an awful documentarian and a bad human being. Is that bitter? I mean, better?
So, its okay when Bacasper calls me a douche, but when I call Michael Moore a douche its not okay. Its very clear that you don't like me. And the feeling is now mutual.

No, but whoever Tobey Keith votes for, I'm not voting for the ideas he brings into the White House.
I'm also not voting for whoever Rush Limbaugh votes for. He says he's not voting McCain. I hope the superdelegates get wind of the ideas he plans on bringing into the White House.
Crap. What douche should I vote for? I think that only leaves me...RON PAUL!
(As if the Californians have a vote. Whether they vote Clinton or Obama is being decided for them right now. It's quite out of their hands, but I'm anti-American for pointing that out)

Ahem, well, without wading into the swamp of argument over Moore's films, I was just ironically noting that he seems to have the power to change conservatives' minds merely by endorsing something. Ergo, let's get him to endorse the Bush Administration and we can proceed directly to impeachment. |

You, Kuros, made a general criticism of Moore's films. I merely politely asked for examples, that's "semi-trolling?"
You responded that I wasn't worth your time. I'd bash you again here but it is not appropriate, and besides, it's not worth the time so please re-read the comment on the Official Bashing Thread. |
