Stay far away from 7S or 7 Step English Academy (Hagwon) !!!

Lying and evil owner (Mr. Park). Unfair dismissal of foreign teachers. Non-paying air fairs, pocketing medical insurance, pension, tax, breach of employment contracts......

I and my other foreign co-workers have gone through those shit last year and this year.

So don't be naive and say no to 7S English !!! No matter how much salary they promise!!!

Some updates as follow:

The Bundang one is the headquarter and also most evil one. They have a few franchise schools in Seoul. Absolutely avoid all of them. Their textbooks are full of ridiculous errors. The director asked the teachers to find out all the errors regularly and compile them into the excel worksheets which were called "error database" Very Happy Shocked

I will give more details about this scam hagwon after I finish my upcoming exams.

Because there are still some naive foreigners who are looking at ESL jobs in the anti-foreigner Korea.

Please point out the details.
Did you marry with a Korean woman??? If yes, you may not have a strong position to defend Korea.

You see, this is why Korea should be concerned about hiring any foreigner from just any English-speaking country.

Why? You can't figure out the errors for yourself? I see you've gone back and edited twice. Looks like you're in need of a 3rd edit.

Yes. I did edit my rough first post because I was (still now) typing up my essay when I posted it.

Being fussy like you is not enough to defend this shit land!

Why didn't you answer all my questions straight away? Don't be shy dude!

So it was so terrible to a point that you re-signed with them? Smooth move, Exlax.

Being so general doesn't help anyone:

1) Unfair dismissal in what way?
2) Name a few such breaches (other than the money issues you already listed)

I was sort of fired by them. The owner told me there was a mother complaint that I was not an American. Then he asked me what I could do to solve this problem.

One of my co-workers who is an American has finished his contract last month. The owner told him there was NO return air fair payable to him. The vacation he has taken last year will be deducted from his final pay.

Don't be too fancy about your own nationality and English. You may be doing well here with your Korean wife. However, there were/are PLENTY of foreign victims due to this unregulated industry. Why not keep your mind and eyes widely open. DON'T BE SOOOOOO KOREAN!
