I *know* it's up to my principal if I get days off or not, but I have a question...
5th is Children's day...
6th normal class
then the 7-8-9 is all midterms.
Do YOU have to come in on a test day, when there aren't any classes?
Just curious... |

Midterms are next week at my school, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
I'm staying all day on Thursday but can leave at noon on Friday, and of course I don't work on Saturday. |

Yes, I have to invigilate just like all the K-teachers. That's OK though... the exams finish at 12:45 and then I can go home. |

Today is test day and I am here at work. They still have afternoon classes but none of the students brought their books today.
The excuse for me coming in in the morning was that they wanted me to use the down time to prepare some questions to ask students who are auditioning for an English competition. That seems reasonable to me. |

Same for me next week except for the invigilating. I'm pretty sure invigilating is a criminal offense in Korea that could lead to deportation after you've completed your jail time.
Why not just ask your VP what they would like you to do during this period when you don't have any classes to teach? |
