We had our picnic day today & I nominated to go on the outing with year 3 to a traditional village & museum about an hour's bus ride away. What would otherwise have been a lovely bus ride was utterly destroyed by the driver informing us that his was a karaoke bus.
For 10 minutes it was ok - the kids were having a ball, it was funny hearing the singing & taking photos....for the next 50 minutes it was very painful. The return trip after a full day walking around, sight seeing, trying to stop kids from getting run over by the other crazy bus drivers etc. was complete torture.
I just don't understand the appeal of karaoke in general, let alone on a stuffy non-ventilated bus full of other people. Am I missing a gene or something? |

Yeah, I hate long boring journeys so I think it would be nice to liven things up. Could get everyone to sing a song alone or as a duet and then get everyone to vote for the top 3. |

Definitely a curse. Kids might be cute but when it's adults...
Let me tell you that if I had to choose between the sound of somebody belting out old Beatles hits with all the vocal range of Henry Kissinger, or lisening my computer connect to dial up internet I'd go for Hewlet Packard every time. |

I once boarded a karaoke TAXI. I sang "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley. |

Our Karaoke page on EFL Classroom is now locked and loaded. Not just hundreds of click and play big screen songs (originals) but also stories/news/poetry/prose in karaoke. All you need is a quick download of the player.
Great for teaching, superb quality and you can also edit or slow the speed, change the word presentation. Also, many karaoke videos in our A/V player or on our youtube channel
http://ca.youtube.com/profile_play_list?user=ddeubel
Also hundreds of traditional karaoke songs on our vimeo or also click "songs".
Keep on singing....

DD, I love your site, but adding this on a noraebus thread is ad placement you don't need. You don't make any money on your site and shit like this will you flagged and banned from Dave's. |
