My Mom has a load of vitamin tablets:

A: Good for hair
B: Helps your mood
C: Good for fingernails and eyes.

If you substitute the word 'vitamin' for 'potion' then it makes as much sence to me. Do vitamins really work? How?

People say "you're body needs them" but what sort of scientific explanation is that?

Vitamins promise a lot but I don't see them delivering.

Vitamins are good for you. You probably get all you need in food however. Most people don't need supplements. Too many vitamins can be bad for you.

Vitamins are only effective if you are missing some from your diet. If you eat healthy meals then they are a waste of money.

If not, then good quality vitamins can make sure you are getting sufficient.
