I got a text message from onlinetour today informing me that as of May 1, fuel surcharges will escalate. So I'm posting this to help out anyone who is thinking of buying tickets soon. Make sure you buy them before May 1 if possible.

wow, airplane tickets are through the roof as they are now. I can't imagine them being any more expensive. Mad

Actually, no, it's not. The rising price in oil, largely driven by the slow collapse of the US dollar, is causing many airlines to hemorrhage money right now. For a long time, airfares have been unsustainably low relative to the airlines' costs. This is especially true in the US. What's happening right now sucks balls but it's all part of a much larger issue.
