Did you buy a car yet? Have you even thought about it?

Or are you going to spend a spectacular summer in one of the most beautiful parts of Korea twiddling your thumbs, mooning for model trins and posting all manner of inane crap?

...when you go to the nearest 'big smoke' for the day and see another foreigner as soon as you step off the bus. In great excitement you smile &say hello & they look at you like you're a weirdo, mumble something & disappear into the crowd. Musta been all the hayseeds in my hair....

Clerks are rarly behind the counter in most stores. They are in the back room doing whatever they do.

There's a layer of dust on all the products in the store.

There's a dog restaurant that has a dirty old sock stench.
Everyone in the town thinks you're an American soldier.

-I lack a proper field of vision in my left eye so driving in Korea would be fatal for somebody.
-I like posting inane stuff and living in the middle of nowhere is fun. I know there are other people in Gangwon and Jeolla going through exactly the same thing.
-And I went to Japan and bout a very nice 3 unit JR commuter train.
AND
I live in a town of great scenic beauty. I have enjoyed the great scenic beauty. I have walked all over the scenic beauty. I have ridden busses all over the scenic beauty. And 8 months later
-I can't &%^$ the scenic beauty or even go on a date with it
-I can't eat the scenic beauty
-I can't talk to the scenic beauty
-I can't have a cup of coffee and watch people going by in the scenic beauty

The biggest known secret is the best jobs are in the sticks. Particularly public schools. I once worked in a city with a hogwan Ding Dind Dang.
Moving to the country is the best thing I did. More laid back people, more vacation time. Never having to look over your shoulder. In Korea public transit is awesome.

When close to 20% of your students have obvious learning disabilities and are generally ignored by the Korean teachers because of it.
