Wow! Have they come down or what? Costco has 50" PDP's for under 1.5 million and 42" LCD's for under 1.2 million.
That means you can probably find either for for 1.2 or 1 million...
What's the cheapest you've seen lately? |

Spliff, is that a GPNC Square 42" PDP for 777,000 won? Sounds like a brand I could trust for a week or two... |

Is that gonna be a quality picture with 1024x768 resolution? I've got a 24" with 1920x1200 res and it wasn't much cheaper than that one (right at 500k)... |

psssssst!........................word on the street is that Full HD LCD's will take a price crash in late 2008, early 2009. Wife saw a report on Korean TV.
Don't know how true this will turn out to be, but I know that the crash must come sooner or later as all the early-adopters who have money have already bought their LCD.
The next move for Samsung, LG, et al, is to flog them off cheaper to everybody else. |

Any good?
I've seen a lot of the 24inchers around 300-400k now a few over that.
Why did you choose that model and how long ago? |

I chose that one because after hours of shopping and comparing TVs, it had the best picture. I'm not sorry I got it--the HD channels I do pick up look incredible, as well as my 360. I find myself watching a lot more Korean TV these days!
I bought it about 6 weeks ago at Son-In Plaza. They had a 32" for the same price, but there was no comparison picture quality-wise. |

I'm not sure I know what you're talking about. If you mean the viewing angle, then there are no problems seeing clearly regardless of where you are in the room. |

I researched the various panels and S-IPS was recommended if you weren''t playing games.
Not sure how long ago the reviews were though.
No problems playing on your 360 |

I'm looking for a TV right now and definitely looking for a cheaper alternative than the Samsung and LGs.
Are there any recommendations for a non-name brand HDTV?
I'm looking around the 30 inch range, ~500k. I've found a few on GMarket, "Hisense" and this one posted here "Crossover." Can anyone attest to quality/durability? |
