has Korea cracked down on its piracy laws??

i haven't seen the DVD men in Yongsan station for a couple of weeks! also the ones in Itaewon disappeared last week too....
whats going on?

a lot of places started closing up last fall

IMO I think it's because so many people download torrents now, prices are also dropping - when were they ever 4 or even 5 for 10,000?

anyway, there are still many to be found in Technomart on the East Side;

also the latest releases there are guys set up on Gangnam both sides of the street, 4 for man won, good films, good selection

I bought some cheap DVD's in Itaewon on the Banpo side of town a week ago and the man showed me a piece of paper written in English that said he'd be away for a couple of weeks...I don't remember what the reason was...The explaination was not very clear.

last sun i saw a ton of sellers in booths on the sidewalk coming out of the tunnel under the railroad tracks from shinyongsan station to that intersection in the heart of the electronics market. they had loose leaf notebooks with titles and you picked what you wanted, just like the vendors in bangkok
