I'm struggling this morning to come up with a lesson plan for my high school students.
2 weeks ago, I did a fill in the blanks with music.
Last week I did a Korean school rules vs. Western School rules.

I'm lost what to do with them this week. Next week is midterms, so nothing too in depth....

Any fun ideas?

You know the game "Taboo"? If they aren't capable of playing it in original version, I make the taboo words "helping words" that they can say as long as they attempt to use sentences.

Here's what I do when I'm stuck for an idea:

Go to YouTube and watch a few Mr. Bean videos. Choose one you like and make a note of the props he uses. Then make a PowerPoint show with the props as the vocabulary focus. Tell the students to make a comic / story using these props, and a few more if they like. Give them 20 minutes or so, then tell them they have to get into groups and choose one story to perform for the class (in English or Korean).

Finally watch the Mr. Bean video and show them what he did with the same props. If you don't have access to a projector, you can still do the activity by drawing pictures, teaching the vocab, and spending more time on the "performance" part of the lesson (i.e. break them up into pairs instead of groups).

Works for me, and it's a welcome break from their other classes!

edit: majolica--Thanks so much for the wonderful link! Cool

Find a menu from a coffee shop and print it out. Get the students into pairs and make them write a short dialogue. Drag pairs out the front and have them present it to the class.

Bogglesworld has tons of great information gap activities. Also the surveys question and answer type things work well to. Go the the tesl journal and hit things for teachers. Then go to Tell Me More the online textbook.
