I think the thing that is roughest for me to tolerate here is the weather. Everything else in comparison is no big deal.

I noticed in the wintertime that most Koreans here had this scowl on their faces and weren't smiling much. Now that the weather has started to change I feel much better and I notice everyone is happier. I realize I'm quite the wuss (I'm originally from southern Cal), but I was wondering if anyone here has found a way of coping with the bad weather besides a.) leaving the country or b.) Cass.

The Canadians I talk to say they love how "mild" the winter is here. To me, I felt like it was always dark and gloomy and this was reflected in the people... which made it quite a miserable place to be for a few months. But hey, "spring" is here (Korea has 4 seasons you know) so at least it's now in the rear view.
