I want to know the average length of time it takes to get a CRC in Canada. How long will it take if I go to the RCMP in person? Is it any quicker if I pick it up in person? Is it quicker going through other companies like IFS (International Fingerprinting Service) who just go through the RCMP anyway?

I think the Commisionairs is quicker or try the OPP.

I did mine about a month ago at my local RCMP detachment in one of Vancouver's suburbs and they called me later that day and told me I could pick it up.

I've never heard of a CRC check taking 1 day but if Enigma says that then I guess it's true.

However, International Fingerprinting Services is going to be the fastest check you can get done from everything I've looked into.

I used IFS a couple weeks ago and it took exactly 1 week, or rather 5 business days. (same thing). They said it would it would take that long, and it did.

Price was the same as the regular police department was going to charge, but the time was 1 week instead of 3.

I recommend IFS.

at a rural OPP mine took 3 days only becasue it was 15 minutes before the fat old bag's lunch time- I just filled out the form and left it because she kept saying "I'm not doing it right now!!". I would have felt better for her if she was exercising and not getting fatter

I understand how IFS could be faster. However, I find it hard to understand how. When I e-mailed them, they basically told me they do it through the RCMP anyway. So, if that's the case it would seem easier to go directly to the RCMP.
