At the recent SMOE orientation ddeuble gave an excellent presentation showing us how to use his website EFL Classroom 2.0. I was really impressed with the karaoke and games and everything that he and others had done to create a place where teachers could go to access activities to help make their classes more interesting. When I tried to actually use some of these activities, however, either I couldn't find them or the sites wouldn't open. This EFL Classroom website also takes an extremely long time to open (if it will open at all).

Before I get a bunch of posts calling me ungrateful, I want to reiterate that I appreciate everything that ddeuble has done. I REALLY want to use some of the tools that his website has to offer but either I can't open the website or I can't locate them. Are others having similar problems?

I wasn't aware that it was his job to provide EFL teachers with a free place to access resources.

He leaves the url for his completely free website in his signature when he responds to relevant queries. Ergo, not spam.

So what is the "relevance" of his url in this thread: http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=120686&highlight=

He sounds like a whiner...and a spammer, lol

Ddeubel is more of a man than you will ever be. And if you're a woman, he's more of a woman than you will ever be. He's a Guiness Book of World Records holder. Ddeubel can swallow whole watermellons and open bottles with his teeth. If there was ever a man above reproach, it's Dave Deubeldebois. He puts Ghandi, Putin, and Mother Theresa to ABJECT SHAME.

lmao, here is another thread http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?p=1625931&highlight=#1625931 where the poster drops his url in...the thread is entitled "Name a sadder song than John Prine's 'Donald & Lydia'" and ddeubel posts:

Quote:
That's a sad one alright but he also can do such a great job with lively stuff -- I think "She's my Everything" is an awesome tune.

I just did "The River" by Springsteen in class. I wanted to slit my own throat at the end or at least find myself a dry river......

DD
http://eflclassroom.ning.com

So his url is in response to a "relevant query," I think not.

You sound like you're waiting for someone else to drop the url when u refer to the url as "This EFL Classroom website." Haha Laughing Sorry, you blew your cover.

Oh, now I get it, you start a thread that makes his url "relevant" in a post, then bump the thread 5 weeks later. http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?p=1627039&highlight=#1627039

pretty soave.....not

LMAO! Look at every post before you cherry pick. There's a crapload of karaoke on his site. Ergo, a post about songs is relevant. As is a post about being moderated. His signature is on every post.

Whether the website is actually relevant to the query or not, his post within the thread is. You my friend, are paranoid about a free website. Web 2.0 at its finest.

uncle bill-
There's too much traffic on it. I think after he did the intro at the SMOErientation, his website got much more traffic than it had before. Same goes with the linked esnips accounts. There is a FREE mediafire account that you can use, PM me if you haven't seen it yet.

I haven't looked at it for awhile, but yes it was slow, and when/if a page finished loading it was never anything I could use. I don't use powerpoint, and the non-powerpoint resources are/were lacking.

haha, you guys are like a tag team, of course the reason why the site is slow (it is not actually slow) is because there is SO MUCH TRAFFIC!! LMAO!!!

I see a total of FIVE jobs posted by a total of THREE people

Laughing
