You could ask your director and after you watch him nearly have a heart attack from laughing I think you will have to go buy it yourself. |

There is no rationale. Welcome to Korea.
I'm (half) kidding. It's worth asking. |

Um...no.
Why would they put furniture in your apartment? The reason you get a furnished apartment is because it's their funishings in their apartment.
If they did give you furniture, what would they do with it when you quit and move on. Then they'd have a bunch of furniture and nowhere to put it.

The short and quick answer is probably not....
BUT... ]
like anything here... it is negotiable BEFORE you sign on the dotted line.
IF it is NOT included in your contract, then you can rest assured that the answer will be NO.
Slightly off-topic... but still related....
Why, as a newbie coming to Korea (else why would you ask the question in the first place) why would you even consider trying to rent a place when:
you have NO CLUE how things work here,
can't speak to your landlord (I'm assuming you speak little or no Korean)
and can't negotiate or register your key money deposit (and they can be very high)?
Find a first job with supplied housing.... then, if you can last a year and have made some contacts AND have figured out how rentals and bu-dong-san's work, you can consider a job with out housing.
If you have 5-200 MILLION won in your pocket to deal with the chunsae you can feel free to ignore me.
