I know, I know.

But what's the deal now? How quickly can I get the check? What's the best avenue. I already did the health check, but they're firing me. I guess I would need to get another health check if I start a new job. I've only been working there for almost 2 months. I won't go into the details just yet of why they're letting me go, but would I need to have 9 or 10 months in to transfer with a release letter? They're keeping me on until the can find another teacher and they mentioned something about going easy on me because they need me to stay (like I said).

Can they cancel my visa without my presence at immigration? I don't think they're going to. I have to confirm all of this. I get one month from my last day working there, I believe.

Can I actually start another job? Maybe by the regulations I can't, but people sometimes have ins at immi, I'm thinking.

Argh.

Strange situation.

Anyone know? This one's a little tricky, maybe.

IF you submitted your CRC to immigration AFTER December 15 you will NOT need to submit a new one.

The process to get a new visa /visa run is the same as before IF they have your CRC on file.

If they don't, then you get to go through the whole ball of wax process from start to finish.

How long it takes depends on a) where you are from (ontario, PQ, down east or out west), and B) do you have someone at home who can help you by making the application at the local RCMP detachment in person on your behalf.

I have an immediate sibling in the RCMP. I guess that's my best bet.

I've only been at this job for less than 2 months. So I'm guessing that I would have to do a visa run.

I'm from New Brunswick, but my sibling is stationed in Quebec.
