|
|
*Update*
I'll be out of town from the 1st to the 10th of May. I'll have email access from about the 6th. So if you email about the computer before then, don't expect a reply. After that there'll be a week where it'll be available, if it's not sold by ~17th May, I'll be taking it with me.
I bought a brand new aluminium 24" iMac last year at the start of December. Going home in a little while and it's too heavy to ship. It's BEAUTIFUL for watching movies in HD.
As my luck would have it, apple updated their website today with new iMacs, so mine is no longer the top model, it is however, better than the second top model, as it has a bigger hard drive.
As can be seen here:
http://store.apple.com/080-3404-622/WebObjects/koreastore.woa/wa/RSLID?nnmm=browse&node=home/shop_mac/family/imac&sf=wYUXD77UJFDDTUPK7
It's the one second from the right...
Specs are:
* 24" Widescreen
* 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme
* 2GB memory
* 500GB hard drive (Bigger than the model shown above)
* 8x double-layer SuperDrive (burns CD, CDRW, DVD, DVDRW, DVD-DL)
* ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory
* Built-in Bluetooth 2.0
* Built-in Airport Wireless Internet Card (802.11b/g)
* Built-in iSight (webcam)
* Built-in 10/100 Gigabit Ethernet port
* 2 Firewire 400 ports, 3 USB 2 ports
* Has the apple remote for frontrow
* etc.
As I purchased it in Korea, the keyboard has the hangul (korean) symbols on they keys.
I'm willing to throw in a nice set of altec lansing speakers (purchased for 90,000) if the price below is met.
Still has 6 months of Applecare warranty.
Comes with all the original software etc. And I'd be willing to help set up any additional software you need, including windows.
I'm in Seoul, near the Seoul National University of Education subway station. Lines 2 & 3.
Purchased new in Korea for ~2,300,000won 6 months ago
The equivalent model (with the same size hdd) is currently 2,050,000
Asking 1,850,000.

take it as your carry on - better than taking the $500 loss you will have to swallow here. |

It's a nice computer, but why not build a PC with OSX on it? It would cost half as much... |

Yes, it may cost half as much, but it would also be a pain in the arse.. From what I've read getting OSX to work on non-apple hardware requires some fiddling and is never guaranteed to work properly 100% of the time. |

I don't think that's quite true, but I know some people would rather just not mess with anything, no matter what the cost. To each his or her own... |

Im sure we do need another one of these threads... and I'm sure that it doesn't need to be discussed here. Even though that would keep my ad at the top of the list, I'd rather only people with a serious interest in buying my computer post here. |

It's a great computer. I had a macbook pro and had to give it up when I changed jobs. Did you add any software beyond that provided when you bought it. I might be interested if you have added "parallels" or other similar software.

So, you're asking top dollar for used equipment. |
