Hey, I'm about to apply for another E-2 visa. But I had to have my first E-2 visa canceled early this year because I had to go home for a medical emergency. Are there going to be any problems with getting a new visa with the canceled visa recorded in my records? Should I send a letter along with my visa application to explain why I have a canceled visa? |

Last year I had a visa cancelled after having it issued 3 months prior. I had no problem whatsoever getting a new E-2 shortly thereafter. Though I was worried as you are, I don't think it's that's big of a deal. |

No worries. I had two visas canceled within 9 months here and still got a third no problem. In fact, I was actually missing some papers, did the trembling lip nearly crying thing in Japan, and still got a third visa. |
