Hey everyone,

I just got notification that my contract's finally being sent to me in the mail, so I'm trying to pack for Korea and move out of my apartment at the same time!

So here's my question: I just got a pile of Clinique make-up today, and am wondering if I need to stock up on a years' supply of foundation, or can I find Clinique make-up in Caucasian colors in the Seoul area?

I use Clinique in U.S, unfortunately I can't answer your question.

Yes. I've seen a couple of my female Korean friends buy it while shopping together.
I have no Idea what it costs back home but I remember thinking that my friend spent a lot of money for a little bit of product.

There's a clinique booth at Lotte Dept Store. The brand is considered premium or myeong-pum so it's expensive.

Yes, but it's not really Clinique lotion. It's actually Vaseline Intensive Care mixed with perfume.

Edit: Sorry, I'll stay off the womens' threads from now on.

Yes there are Clinique counters in almost all the department stores - it's easy to get hold of. I'm a Clarins addict and find that the prices are similar to back in the UK - I use a Clinique foundation though which I've bought here no problem.

I don't use clinique, but I had a friend that did. It's not hard to find, but definitely cheaper if you get it at Duty free. My friend also complained that they didn't have all the foundation colours available back home, so keep that in mind.

Yes. Department stores carry all the high-end brands AND some more.... (Lancome, Estee Lauder, Shiseido, Clinique, Guerlain, Stila, Shu Uemura, Bourjois, Dior, Chanel....)

.... but for a higher price than in the U.S. and Canada.

My wife has used Clinique for years - in Canada and here, but she told me that the lotions here usually have whitener in them, to appeal to the local market. She had her mom bring some foundation (?) from Canada, as the shades available here are obviously directed to Korean women. I guess you should stock up at home if you have specific needs, then rely on the plentiful Clinique counters here for emergency refills.

Not all lotions have whitener in them, it usually specifies if it does or not. All brands have a "whitening" line, but they also have the regular line too....
