Just saw this on the wire, don't know how good it is, never eaten at one--but the pizza menu strikes me as perfect for Korea. Toppings such as BBQ chicken and beets...blech. I wouldn't mind if they had a spinach pizza on the menu tho. And their other menu items look decent. Anyone eaten there?

California Pizza is good. You can buy it frozen at supermarkets on the west coast in the states. I lived off it for half of a cold Alaskan winter.

Work n play had a free pizza party at the one in gangnam...pizza was pretty good. The caesar salad was really good. But I don't think I would eat there if it wasn't free

I just got back from eating there. The food is very expensive -- of course -- but it tastes a lot like the CPKs back home. The mojitos are good, and they have English menus; if you go this week or next, you can catch the unhappy-looking American staff imported for the opening.

It's only about two blocks from the Seohyeon station. Leave by the No. 5 exit and cut through the little alley by the Krispy Kreme. Go for a block and turn right; it's on the second floor. It's more or less directly behind La Merce by one block, if that helps.

Cut through that alley by La Merce or Krispy Creme and look for the coffee shop Twosome Place (?) on the corner. Keep heading west towards the post office and you'll see CPK on the 2nd floor of the new building.

It must be in the process of opening, I just saw it for the first time today and it seems very busy. There's a huge sign on the building right now proclaiming the name.

Yep, they've described where it is right. Take exit 5 out of the station and walk forward until you see la Merced (I think that's the name, its a mexican place) and turn left into an alley. Keep walking forward until you hita street, cross the street and there's a big building in front of you. Turn right until the first street you come to (that coffee place) and turn left on that street and walk straight for a couple of minutes until it hits another road and turn left and look up and there you are. I took my dog on a walk after reading this thread and paid a bit more attention to where it is.

FCK omurice this is some good pizza. Even the frozen variety back in the states tastes better than most chains.

The staff: just like us when we landed in this place.
The food: i hope its the same as back home... or at least as good as the frozen pizzas. They'd still be 100x better than those Korean chain pizzas. I received a shrimp pizza with the shells left on the shrimp before!

Seems like Korea is getting much more foreignized just in time for the dropout.

ONE more reason California is commonly known as La-La Land.

The link reads that every single ingredient is imported from the US. It should taste exactly the same...unless the Korean cooks throw unwanted Kimchi and gochu paste on the stuff...

Not everything. The opening manager came over to chat with us, and she said they had a lot of trouble with the Korean food authority. Consequently, they had to make some odd substitutions -- like green lemons in the mojitos. She said that she thinks the "flavor profiles" are the same. I guess that's Expensive Restaurantese for it tastes like it does at home.
