I've been looking at distance/online MEd programmes with a specialization in TESL and stumbled upon one that looks good at the University of Calgary:

Does anyone know anything about this programme? Based on my research and preliminary thoughts, it looks good and I don't have to worry about it being recognized because it obviously is. The problem is that it's $17,000 Cdn in tuition. Ouch. But maybe it's worth it?

I just got into this program. The problem with the tuition is that there aren't many scholarships for the course-based MEd, so yeah, ouch.

I chose this program 'cause I'm Canadian, I can do it from here, and a LOT of the courses looked the kind of thing I'm looking for. The program's flexible enough that I can choose quite a few courses from outside the TESL specialization, so that's cool.

So far, the online support has been good, but I haven't actually begun the courses yet. A friend of mine who lived and taught here in Korea for three+ years is in Calgary, in the middle of this program right now, and she's loving it.
